Retro Crocodile Skin Leather Patchwork Rug Vintage 1970’sby Retrospective Interiors
Retro Crocodile Skin Leather Patchwork Rug Vintage 1970’s
An extremely unusual, rare and huge vintage patchwork rug from the 1970’s, this is exquisitely made from crocodile skin and also smooth leather hide. The quality is amazing and an extraordinary amount of effort has gone into making this. Each patch is finely made and stitched, with beautiful little metal fixtures making various patterns. Each square is attached with a leather band, even the whole underside is completely leather. This can be folded at the corners to adjust the shape to your room setting, and it neatly folds away for storage. The condition is excellent with a beautiful colour and no major damage; there are a few of the tiny metal fixtures missing here and there, this isn’t really noticeable because of the overall detail, but is all seen in the close up images. Chairs shown to give an idea of scale and are available separately.

Antique Victorian Deep Buttoned Leather Armchairby Marylebone Antiques
Antique Victorian Deep Buttoned Leather Armchair
This is an original antique Victorian deep buttoned leather iron framed armchair in excellent condition & full of character.
The colour of the leather is superb & it has a naturally aged look. This is not something that can be artificially done.
If you push down on the leather you can feel the crisp horsehair underneath.
The leather has definitely been on this chair for a long time, although this chair is about 150 years old, so it might have been re-done many years ago.
This armchair is also very comfortable, which is mainly due to the curved back & deep seat. It’s hand tacked around the base & sits on turned mahogany legs with original brass cupped casters.
In my opinion, it’s one of the nicest examples of this type of armchair that I have come across.

Large stunning looking Swedish antique burr walnut Wellington chest, which is also fine quality. It dates from around the 1880's period & is in good condition. The top & drawer fronts are burr walnut with wonderful veneers. The drawers have fine dovetails & brass handles. There is a locking bar on the right hand side, but we don't have a key & the other upright looks identical. both uprights have some fine carvings, especially near the tops. This chest has an interesting top section & sits on flat turned front bun feet.
One thing that's not showing in the images is the 2nd drawer down has a pull down mechanism so you can slide things in & out.
This chest is very impressive & fabulous quality, plus the wood has a very warm colour.

Danish Retro Leather Sofa Vintage 1960’sby Retrospective Interiors
Danish Retro Leather Sofa Vintage 1960’s
A stylish and very comfortable Danish vintage brown leather sofa, this dates from the 1960-70’s. It has a great style, with a beautiful colour. The condition overall is good for its age, the leather is nicely worn with no rips or tears. There are just a couple of very minor scuffs to the corners. Each side towards the back does have a small screw visible for some reason, not sure why they were put there, when we removed them the structure was still sturdy, but we left them in place as they have left small holes in the leather. This also had a long screw going through the bottom of each back leg as this was probably screwed to a wall. We removed these so there is a small hole in each back leg, but these are hardly noticeable.
