Set of 4 Hans J. Wegner JH 203 Oak & Wenge Armchairby Retro Living
Set of Four Hans J. Wegner JH 203 Oak with Wenge detailing armchairs. Designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1969 for Johannes Hansen in 1969 in Denmark. The chair is made from Oak with inlaid Wenge detailing, The seats have been recovered in Romo Group’s KIrkby Design Crib Flagstone fabric.
The frames and the woodwork are in great condition having been recently restored, refinished, varnished and polished. The original labels/stickers are missing on three of the chairs with part of one remaining on the fourth confirming they are Johannes Hansen for Hans J. Wenger.

Pair of 1950s Grete Jalk for Glostrup Model 218 Armchairsby Retro Living
Pair of Grete Jalk solid Teak lounge armchairs re-upholstered in a mustard yellow wool fabric. The chairs were manufactured in Denmark by Glostrup Møbelfabrik during the 1950s. This specific model is one of the most sought after incorporating a beautifully formed and comfortable slatted sloping back. The two loose cushions have been reupholstered in a complimentary fabric to help enhance the golden patina of the Teak wood. Simple yet elegant. In an original vintage condition.

A wonderful large table or bedside model Tessuto lamp designed by the artist and designer Massimo Vignelli for the manufacturer Venini.
Very beautiful piece and is just as pretty unlit as lit.
Excellent condition and fully PAT tested.

1970s Chromcraft Smoked Glass Oval Tulip Dining Table and 4 Swivel Chairsby Retro Living
1970s Chomcraft dining room set with an oval table top and four matching swivel tulip chairs. The tulip table has a thick smoked glass top, aluminium stem and smoked lucite base. The formed, organic-shaped, smoky, lucite chairs match the base with white vinyl thick padded seats. The chairs sit on a swivel tulip lucite base separated by an hourglass shaped aluminium column. The chairs have some scratches along their backs where they’ve been rubbing against a wall. The seat pads show some signs of wear and cracking based on their age and use. There are some small chips to the outside edge of the chrome base and scratches to the lucite of the chairs where shoes have scratched them. The glass top has some deep scratches in one small area. An amazing space-age dining set. A design classic of its its era.

Large Pair of 1960s Italian Glass and Chrome Lampsby Retro Living
A stunning large pair of Italian 1960s pressed glass table lamps including new white silk shades. Rewired and PAT tested with a black twisted silk flex. The on/off switch is situated in the base of the chrome bulb socket. The chrome top plate on one of the lights has some small rust spots which are shown in one of the images. Perfect for a living room or bedside. In very good vintage condition.
Dimensions: 62cms to the top of the chrome bulb light socket. 80cms to the top of the shade. Diameter: 16cms
Shade 41cms high. 41cms diameter.

City Palace Udaipur Chandra Mahal by artist Ceri Shields. Watercolour 1989. Bought directly from the Francis Kyle Gallery on Maddox Street London in 1991.
CERI SHIELDS was born in London in 1964 and studied at Chelsea School of Art, where his work attracted the special commendation of art critic Brian Sewell. While still a student, Shields travelled widely in Europe and India and as a result of a chance encounter on his second visit to Rajasthan in 1989, he was invited to participate in the Gallery’s theme exhibition Paradise is here…Ten painters in Moghul and Rajput India. Subsequently, he showed in Byron’s Travels (1990), The Pilgrim Road to Santiago de Compostela (1991) and in the same year One Great Republic: Mozart’s Europe from Paris to Prague, shown at the Lincoln Centre, New York celebrating the bicentenary of the composer’s death. In 1996 works by Ceri Shields were purchased for the art collection of the Bank of Siena.

Judith Rothchild ‘Peppers’ Francis Kyle Gallery c.1980by Retro Living
A Judith Rothchild original chalk drawing of green ‘peppers’ originally sold through the Francis Gallery on Maddox Street in the late eighties. Reframed in an Oak frame exposing the whole canvas. A vibrant and colourful still-life in deep reds and gold. Retro Living is selling this piece on behalf of the original owner who purchased the piece from the Indian exhibition held at the Francis Kyle Gallery.
1970s Sciolari Chrome & Glass Cubic Hanging Lightby Retro Living
1970s Italian abstract cubic ceiling hanging light designed by Gaetano Sciolari. The staggered cubic shapes which are made of chromed metal and aluminium with heavy glass cubes at the end of each one. A screw-in E14 bulb is required within each bulb. I use a silver-topped globe for added drama. The light shines down from each on. A perfect light for any room of the house. It’s beautiful especially when you look directly at it from below. It is a very heavy and well made light and should be fixed into a joist.
In very good vintage condition with small signs of age on the metal commensurate with its age.. All the glass cubes are in excellent condition.
PAT tested to UK Standards and in full working order. On display at The Old Cinema in Chiswick.

1950s Pair of Barovier & Toso Italian Murano Glass Gold Table Lampsby Retro Living
A stunning pair of 1950s Barovier & Toso Italian Murano glass table lamps with an unusual swirl design with with gold flecked interiors. The lamps retain their original black gloss shades with gold foil interior. The wooden base has been hand-painted with a contrasting gold finished and varnished. Some small scuff marks commensurate with their age and use are shown in the images. The E27 screw in bulbs can be individually turned on and off via a brass chain hidden behind the shade. The lights have been rewired and PAT tested to UK standards.

1960’s Swedish Rosewood Extending Sideboardby Retrospective Interiors
A beautiful and very useful vintage sideboard in rosewood, this was made in Sweden and dates from the 1960’s. It’s a very versatile design, the top half sits independently on top of the bottom, so it can be slid away to extend the sideboard to various lengths. It can also be placed at a right angle on top of the bottom to be used in a corner. This is in superb condition for its age, we have had it completely stripped and re-polished to a very high standard.
