Antique Georgian Period Walnut Chest on Chestby InteriorBoutiques
A magnificent Georgian II period chest on chest, beautifully made from walnut & of lovely slim proportions. We would date this from around the 1727-1760 period & it is an extremely fine and rare example.
It is of super quality, with amazing solid brass handles and escutcheons. This sits on bracket feet and has a recessed arch on the lower drawer with an inlaid sunburst design. The drawer fronts all have cross banded inlay and an extra border of inlay and the top section has reeded canted corners. This has stunning figured walnut grain patterns, and a pull out leather top slide in the middle. The drawer bottom are solid oak & the grain runs from back to front.
We have recently had this gently cleaned polished, it is in great condition for its age and has a wonderful patina. I must say, we are not period furniture experts, however it does look like it’s an original piece inside & out.
This chest on chest separates into two sections for easy transportation.

A stunning pair of bentwood stacking stools, reminiscent of Alvar Aalto designs. We are not sure who made these, though we have this model before and they are exceptionally well made. They were made in Europe most likely Scandinavia, they date from the 1930-1950’s.
The quality is amazing, each has a segmented walnut top with stunning grain patterns. They are both sturdy and well built, they would be equally useful as stools or as side tables.
We have had these stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout for their age.

This has a wonderful design, with very generous proportions and a beautifully carved mahogany frame. It sits on a splayed mahogany base, with porcelain caters.

This has been re-upholstered at a later date in high quality brown leather, we have just had the leather revived and hand coloured by our leather restorer.
It is in great overall condition, the mahogany frame has also been re-polished. It swivels and rolls smoothly, it is comfortable, sturdy & full of character.

A stunning quality antique French Empire Style period console table in mahogany, dating from around the 1820-1840’s period.
It is of lovely proportions and is beautifully designed. The mahogany top is cross banded and has those typical French moulded edges. There is a single drawer, and the scroll over legs have a gorgeous, sweeping design with paw feet. The back has the original mirror between the drawer and the base, which is a great feature.
The mahogany has a lovely colour tone and patina, and this is in excellent condition for its age, having just been re-polished.

A stunning pair of original Art Deco period cloud back armchairs by Harry & Lou Epstein. These were made in England, they date from the 1930’s period.
They are of superb quality, they have an extremely impressive design and they are very, very comfortable.
We have had these fully restored, they are in superb condition for their age.
The burr maple banding and the feet have been stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, and they sit on original casters. These have also just been fully re-upholstered in our cream leatherette, which look and feels exactly like leather. It is even more practical than leather, as it wipes clean easily and is much more durable.

This is of magnificent quality & it is rare to find such a well made and substantial stool from this era.
The frame is sturdy and strong, with gorgeous burr walnut grain patterns. The leather seat is padded with horse hair, we have had the leather hand coloured and revived by our leather restorer.
This is in superb overall condition, we have had the walnut stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, there is no damage to be seen anywhere.

This has a splendid rich colour and lovely patina, the grain patterns are beautiful on the drawer fronts. The condition is very good for its age, we have just had this re-polished. Pair of Antique Leather & Carved Oak Armchairsby InteriorBoutiques
A stunning and unusual pair of antique armchairs with beautiful leather upholstery. These were made in continental Europe, possibly Belgium or France & they date from around the 1860-1880’s period.
The solid oak frames are beautifully carved throughout, and have exceptional carved arm rests in the images of lions heads. The legs are finely turned, with curved stretchered bases and brass casters under the front feet.
These have a wonderful patina throughout, the wood is nicely polished and the leather has a gorgeous tanned colour.
The condition is excellent for their age, with just some extremely minor wear here and there. One of the lions heads is missing the lower teeth, though that is barely noticeable. Overall these are clean, sturdy and sound.

A superb and very rare pair of Dutch antique inlaid mahogany side chairs, dating from around the 1830-1840 period.
The quality is superb and these have a stunning neoclassical design. There are profuse satin wood inlays, and they sit on beautifully turned solid mahogany legs. On each side of the seats there is a gorgeous carved sea serpent head motif, which gives these an even more beautiful and interesting aspect.
We have had these recently re-polished and the seats have been re-upholstered in our cream cotton fabric. They are in lovely condition for their age, with plenty of patina and charm.

A stunning original Art Deco period desk in walnut and leather. This was made in England, it dates from the 1920-30’s.
It is an unusual design, with a nice and compact size, the quality is absolutely amazing. The sides are curved and this has a stepped top, with an inset black leather writing surface. The solid wood construction has a combination of burr and figured walnut veneers, giving a striking effect. The chrome handles are original, and this is also beautifully polished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout.
