Pair of Antique French Gilt Wood & Marble Wall Mounting Side Tables
by Marylebone AntiquesPair of French Antique gilt wood wall mounting side tables with marble tops. I would date them to around the 1850’s period & would say the marble tops are more recent. The gilt work is all original & there is a bit of natural ageing in places, so please enlarge all the images. As you can see from the backs, they are solid pine under the gilding. These tables are beautifully carved & also quite a decent size. Please check the measurements.

It’s in good condition, having just been fully restored & French polished. The drawers which are graduated in depth, have brass ring handles, fine dovetails & all have locks. This is a free standing desk with a polished back, rounded front corners & plinth bases with casters underneath. It comes apart into three sections for easy transportation. The most important feature is the kneehole space is wide & high enough to use comfortably.

by Marylebone AntiquesAntique Painted Wrought Iron Jardiniere Plant Stand
This antique painted wrought iron plant stand has fabulous floral decoration all over & is still in good original condition. The painting too is all original & hasn’t been touched up. It was very dirty when we picked it up & when we cleaned it all the colours came out again. This stand is a very decorative piece & obviously useful too. I’ve never seen anything like it before. It’s also very difficult to date exactly, but I would say it dates from around the 1910-20’s period. The floral decoration is mainly of flowers & leafs. I’ve had a very good look at this & I can’t see any of them missing.

by Marylebone AntiquesAntique Satinwood Inlaid Mahogany Linen Press
This antique linen press is extremely fine quality & in good original condition. Dating from the 1890’s period, it has many fine features. The satinwood inlays are all over the front, which is also flame mahogany. There’s a brass beading between the top cupboards & the drawers have the original brass handles, plus locks. Inside the two cupboards are three sliding trays. The drawers in the base are finely dovetailed & all work well. I particularly like the curved middle section above the drawer section which the cupboard sits inside of. This linen press has a good original look, with natural fade in places & also has a very stylish design. It separates into three sections – cornice, top cupboards & the drawer section.

This is a really nice example of an early 19th century mahogany linen press & it has small proportions. It has a lovely rich colour & is in excellent condition. The top two cupboards have flame mahogany panels with a brass trim between the doors. Inside the cupboard are the original sliding trays. The bottom section has two over two drawers, with original turned handles & locks on the drawers. The top cornice has a flame mahogany surround & the drawer section sits on turned mahogany feet. I would date this linen press to around the 1820 period. It also comes apart into three sections, top cornice, cupboard section & drawer section.
