Antique Burr Maple & Walnut Dining Table plus 6 Chairs
This antique dining room set is of high quality, in good original condition & dates from around the 1920’s period. It was made by the famous London cabinet makers Epstein & is hand made. The table top & parts of the chairs are burr maple, while the rest is solid walnut. It has a wonderful mellow colour & the patterns of the veneers are lovely. While the condition looks very good in the images, we are still about to re-polish the chairs, so they will be vastly improved. We will leave the original drop in seats as they are, because they are in good condition, however we can recover for around £25 a seat. The chair backs are beautifully designed. There is some carving on the tops & more on the swept out arms of the carvers. The shaped legs have an amazing elongated fluted shell design. The table is a good size & easily accommodates the 6 chairs which are quite large. It has two walnut pedestals, so they don’t inhibit leg room
