Antique Swedish Satin Birch BookcaseSKU: by Marylebone Antiques
Antique Swedish Satin Birch Bookcase
This antique Swedish bookcase has a really nice design & great proportions. It’s also extremely high quality throughout. This bookcase is satin birch & the grain of wood is beautiful inside & out. The top half has two compartments with two shelves in each that are fully adjustable. There are four panelled cupboards below & it sits on tapered legs. The back is panelled & the inside is polished all over. I would date this piece to around the 1890-1910 period & it’s in great condition having just been polished. What I like most about this piece is the length & slimness from back to front. Also, the figuring within the satin birch is fabulous.
Width – 75 inches, 190 cm
Depth – 13 inches, 33 cm
Height – 51.5 inches, 131 cm
