Danish Master Cabinet Maker teak fitted dining cabinet c 1960 . This is top quality cabinet making by an unknown Master Cabinet Maker or Snedkermeister as they’re called in Denmark , which translates as master joiner . The use of teak externally with oak and teak legs usually dates pieces to the mid to late 1950s . The detailing of the birch interior with rosewood fronted is what you would expect from a top quality Danish cabinet maker of the period . In Denmark at this time there were still a relatively large number of craftsmen of this standard , whereas today they are few and far between . It would have been an expensive piece probably made to order . Pieces like this today by an unknown maker and designer offer tremendous value compared to pieces of equal and often lesser quality by known makers . We’ve given it a light clean and polish , and re-dowelled a loose leg . As usual with pieces of this nature the cleaning and polishing took far less time than it would for more standard quality pieces of the same era . There are obvious marks or scratches or other damage . Teak, Oak and Rosewood
