    Description

    Penwork Sewing Box Cabinet decorated with naive figures, buildings and plant life. The top of the cabinet features more figures and scene with boats. Standing on four brass lions feet it features two lockable doors which can only be opened once the lid has been lifted, revealing several paper lined compartments for thread spools and various other sewing tools. Opening the doors reveals floral patterned drawers with turned bone handles which allow for further storage of sewing supplies. This sewing cabinet comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.

    Description

    Antique Dressing box veneered in a very striking and high contrast Calamander. With brass edging, stringing, escutcheons and flush fitting carry handles, has a secret hidden jewellery tray. The interior is lined in a blue velvet and features fifteen glass bottles with silver-gilt engraved lids, each with the monogram F.S. These are attributed to Thomas Johnson and hallmarked, London, 1864. Most of the bottles are housed in a removable tray which when lifted reveals and stunning, fully fitted tool tray which contains various silver-gilt and mother of pearl tools. One the back edge of the open box is a makers plaque which reads: W. Thornhill Manufacturer to the Royal Family 144 New Bond Str. London The front of the box features a separate locking drawer which provides further blue velvet lined storage. Removing the drawer completely allows access to the secret jewellery tray which is housed above the drawer. This can be removed be reaching just into the top of the drawers compartment and operating a latch near the front edge. Secret hidden Jewellery tray features five lidded velvet lined compartments with two especially for sovereigns. This exquisite Antique Dressing case comes with a fully working Bramah locks and tasselled keys.

    Description

    Charming Tunbridge Ware house Sewing box made of solid sycamore with side drawer. The House sewing box is naively painted. The front features mullioned windows, door, foliage and thatched roof. The sides also have a window. The interior is lined with pink paper and features a removable tray which has a pin cushion, thimble holders and a needle book. Underneath this is storage space for various sewing items. The side of house features a hidden draw with small spaces for thread spools which can only be accessed by removing a pin on the inside edge of the box. This house sewing box comes with a working lock and tasselled key.

    Description

    Extremely rare Oval Anglo Indian Tea Chest made of solid Rosewood with inlaid and engraved lac filled decoration, made in Vizagapatam. The beautiful Tea Chest has a silver ring pull to the lid & silver key profile to the front. Bands of engraved ivory with sprouting vine flowers surround the top and base. The front has a wonderful ivory shell decoration which really makes this piece stand out. Opening this fabulous piece reveals yet more engraved bands of ivory, a paterae in the lid, and two fabulous removable tea caddies, each inlaid with a wooden conch shell. These exotic pieces were crafted with ivory veneer, retailed in Madras and Calcutta by the English and Dutch East India Companies, but primarily manufactured in Vizagapatam on the northern Coromandel Coast. This tea chest comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.

    Limited edition Alfred Dunhill Clock with original leather case. Featuring a round green tinted glass dial with stylish chrome numerals, standing on a stone plynth. The rear of the mechanism reads “8 days made in France Dunhill 48 Jermyn Street” The Alfred Dunhill clock has a eight day french movement, is in good working order and keeps very good time. The super leather case in which the clock can be stored is made of leather and has “dunhill” stamped on the interior of the right door.     Amboyna Silver Gilt Vanity Box with brass edging, escutcheons and stringing by Joseph Rodgers & Sons of Sheffield, cutler to her Majesty. The exquisitely engraved silver gilt lids are by London Silversmith, Thomas Johnson. The lid features a fold down letter compartment with a removable mirror behind. The base has fabulous assortment of thirteen, superb cut glass with exquisite engraved sterling silver gilt & pierced jars, unusually the back five jars rise when the box is opened. The front of the box features two drawers. One being vacant and the other for jewellery, containing a removable accoutrements pad with various tools.
