Handsome Overmantel Mirror from France with restored central and border mirror panels The restored mirror panels have been re-silvered in a fashionable distressed antique style and have been re-set into the original 19th century grey painted wood frame of the classic Trumeau overmantel. 4 small decorative brass rosettes are set traditionally at the cross-joins on the mirror surface. The wooden frame is in sturdy condition with some natural wear from its age. With its gesso bow and swags design, the frame dates from the reign of Emperor Napoleon III, 1852-1870
The Mirror measures 49 inches high x 40 wide. -
