Mid-Century Brass & Leather Desk
by InteriorBoutiquesAn absolutely magnificent executive desk of the highest order. This was made in England, it dates from the 1960’s.
This is very large and impressive, with an amazing and quite unusual design. The top has a bow shaped front, and a very high quality brass rim around the entire edge. The top is suspended by four brass supports and appears to float, the pedestals are also supported by four brass feet.
There is an inset black leather writing surface on the top, and this has stunning wood grain patterns throughout. The wood is book matched, so the grain patterns mirror each other on each pedestal, on the front and the back. The back is beautifully finished, this is designed to be free standing or can be pushed against the wall as the back is flat.
There are seven graduated drawers, beautifully constructed with fine, hand cut dovetailed joints.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is immaculate throughout.

The quality is outstanding and this has such a stylish design. The drawers have beautifully sculpted solid afromosia handles that tuck nicely into recesses in the top. The back of the top is beautifully lipped and this sits on a stretchered base for extra stability.
We have had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb for its age.

The quality is superb, this has a gorgeous design and is a great size. The top is slightly barrel shaped and floats above the pedestals. There are amazing rosewood grain patterns all over, the back is also beautifully finished with a useful open bookshelf. The two top drawers have locks and this comes with one key.
We have recently had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout.

The quality is phenomenal, with solid wood construction and gorgeous teak veneers. It is large and very heavy, the back is also beautifully finished with a locking cabinet.
The V shaped legs are a wonderful feature, and this has a floating top supported by four thick cylindrical columns.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout.
