The dogs are made from gilded spelter, they are beautifully mounted on a fantastic chequered marble base. This is a large and impressive size, the quality is amazing.
The condition is excellent, with only some extremely minor wear here and there. There is a makers seal on the back lower edge which says made in Paris.

The quality is outstanding, this is beautifully made and has lovely proportions. The burr walnut colour tones and grain patterns are gorgeous, this has an inset marble top. The doors have exposed brass hinges, there are brass escutcheons and this comes with four keys.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout.

He is intensely instinctive by nature and shows scant regard for creative constraints and any artistic rulebook, preferring the peripheries of the art world and the traditional marketplace, he started off selling his work on the street and has worked his way up from there. The son of the late actor, Kenneth Griffith, his aesthetic has one foot in the historical past, and the other in Outsider Art.
Artistry runs in the blood on both sides of his family. Down the maternal line, Griffith is a direct descendent of the showman William Hagar, a Pioneer of British cinema who ‘followed the coal’, bringing handmade films to audiences who had never before seen a moving image. As a nod to his silver screen heritage, Griffith sources vintage film posters for their early colors and Primitive images.

This is of superb quality and is a lovely compact size. It is beautifully designed and has absolutely gorgeous burr walnut grain patterns. The domed top is quite slim, and has a beautiful walnut lined interior which has mirrored back single shelf and glass holder in the door. It also contains an original spoon, knife and cocktail sticks. There is a single central drawer that has a fluted front and lovely original handles. The lower section contains further storage space with a bottle rack and shelf.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.

The quality is outstanding, they look beautiful from all angles and are surpisingly comfortable. The solid brass frames are very heavy, sturdy and strong.
The condition is excellent for their age, with just the right amount of patina to the brass. We have had the seats newly upholstered in a cream cotton fabric.
